Writer's Block :(

With the assault of exams and study over for the summer, I have largely completed the next section of Leaves and Summer Eaves. However, I am not wholly satisfied with the result.

Is there anybody out there willing to Beta this son of a bitch for me?

I await a response from anybody even vaguely literate.

Writer's Block: Places to Lay Your Head

How many different places (cities, houses, apartments, dorm rooms, etc.) have you lived in? Which is your favorite? And your least favorite?

View Answers

8 houses, 2 apartments and innumerable third world guesthouses. My favourite? The last house I had in Brisbane before I left. Three floors, three verandahs and art nouveau tiles in the bathroom. My least favourite? A guesthouse in Bangkok that had concrete walls, floor and ceiling, and no windows. Perfect if you wanted to nurture a heroin addiction and slash your wrists, but I'm still a bit young for that.

The ridiculous thing is that some of those third world guesthouses were nicer than my current flat. London real estate is depressing :(

Productive, but in all the right ways.

Well, the long weekend is now officially over, and no new chapter is forthcoming. On the upside, I have done a decent amount of study. I should probably be happier about that than I am. Looks like an update will have to wait until this goddamned digital design portfolio is complete though.

Sorry, folks!
[Delusion in brilliant. I can pretend somebody actually gives a damn when I post the next installment, aha.]

Exams = Bleh

I've just returned from a week in Istanbul [I bask in the warmth of your collective envy, and it feeds my new Mediterranean sun tan]. It's amazing; everybody should put it on their potential holiday list. I rode a speed boat to a nightclub, like some kind of ridiculous 90's Eurodance film clip. It was mad pimpin'. NO! It was Darude pimpin'.

I have exams very shortly, and therefore a lot of study to avoid by writing teen slash of questionable quality. I promise to update over the weekend. Considering I just avoided my sketching portfolio by watching Sixteen Candles twice in a row, you know I'm good for it. Procrastination this good is practically a religion. Zen and the art of wasting my f*cking time. Rituals include checking Facebook every five minutes, reading ludicrous amounts of fanfic, drinking Earl Grey and listening to the same three songs over and over again.

Thank-you to everybody who has reviewed Leaves & Summer Eaves so far. And everybody please feel free to friend me, I don't know what the generally accepted etiquette is, but I am very welcoming.

HTM.. what?

Late night thoughts on my lack of customizing skills ... or is that early morning thoughts?

So, despite years of lurking through various LJ fanfic communities it now becomes apparent that I lack the fundamental skills required to function here. It's just past midnight and I've spent far too much time trying to figure out how to make my profile look even vaguely unlike the n00b piece of shit that it is. My success has been very, very limited.

All these years, wasted! To think, I could have been mastering HTML and image embedding instead of sitting up till dawn reading porn.
                           .... oh wait. No regrets.

Still, it seems to be there should be some sort of shortcut button: "Post questionable fanfic HERE >"

I will persist. Though may patience may not.
